  1. Sõiduk on nii seest kui ka väljast väga heas ja esinduslikus korras ning tehniliselt samuti heas seisukorras – lisainvesteeringuid ei vaja. Talvel ei ole autoga sõidetud ning see on seisnud soojas ja kuivas garaažis. Kerel rooste puudub ning ka salong on väga hästi säilinud. Kuigi tegemist on juba klassikaks muutuva mudeliga, sobib auto suurepäraselt ka igapäevaseks kasutamiseks. Minu käes oli see siiski hobiauto, mida kasutati peamiselt ilusa ilmaga ning hoiti garaažis. Olles varasemalt omanud ka BMW 750i mudelit, võin öelda, et sõidumugavuselt ja pehmuselt ei jää see 728i sellele praktiliselt alla. Samas on 728i ülalpidamine märgatavalt soodsam, varuosad lihtsamini kättesaadavad ning hoolduskulud oluliselt mõistlikumad. Raske on leida teist samaväärselt säilinud ning originaal seadistes E38 Eestis Hiljuti hooldatud, läbinud tehnoülevaatuse puhta lehega ilma ühegi veata ning paigaldatud uus Pilkingtoni esiklaas koos uue tihendiga , lisaks taastatud näidikuploki pikslid ning vahetatud roolivõimu õli ja torud.
